Silver: You know, regardless of how wimpy you might be, you can always improve yourself. Especially when you have a female red-haired friend who just so happens to be among the best of the best.
Grif: Jaune Arc, the leader of Team JNPR.
Vega: And Freelancer Agent Washington, the current leader of the Blues. I'm Vega and they're Silver and Grif.
Silver: And it's our job to analyse both combatants to find out who would win this Rooster Teeth DEATH BATTLE!

Has some sick dance skills
Skills & Abilities
Strength
Blocked a swipe from a Death Stalker

Has a very defensive approach most of the time

Crocea Mors
A sword and a shield
-The latter can be fold together to be used as a sheath for the sword
Both were used by his great-great-grandfather
The shield is durable enough to block attacks from the likes of a Death Stalker
The sword is sharp enough to slice clean through an Ursa Major's neck
Aura
Manifestation of one's soul
Unlocking it requires training and willpower
Triggers Dust
Can be used to make weapons or even food immensly harder and more durable
Acts like an invisible shield to protect the user
-Results in lethal blows being...well, not lethal
Not an infinite source
-Needs to recharge
Semblance
The true nature of Jaune's Semblance is currently unknown
Once manifested itself in a flash of light when Cardin tried to punch him
-Said light prevented Jaune from taking any damage from Cardin's punch
*Cardin on the other hand (hehe) held his hand in pain
Weaknesses
While being a fairly skilled fighter, not on the same level as other students at his age
-Heavily relies on his team
+Got significantly better over time
Aura is finite and can run out during battle
Can be frustrated pretty fast when others are vastly superior in combat
-Tends to recklessly charge at enemies
A bit clumsy
-Hit himself in the face with his shield while blocking Roy's buzzsaws
("I'm tired of being the lovable idiot, stuck in the tree while his friends fight for their lives! Don't you understand? If I can't do this on my own... then what good am I?")

Washington takes this easily. Not only is he more durable, way more skilled and experienced, his gear should blow right through Jaune's aura, this is Halo weaponry we're talking about. He has fought on even terms with both Tex and Meta, and later defeats Locus and Felix. Mind you, all 4 of the characters I mentioned would have little to no trouble handing Jaune his ass. Wash has greatly improved over the course of the series and even as his time as the supposed "buttmonkey" of the freelancers he was still extremely skilled. Personality=/=skill.
"but wash was the worst of the freelancers!!!111" This is not a valid argument. Hell, it's not even true. Washington was only the worst out of one single squad, not literally all of the Freelancers. The worst were Ohio, Idaho, and Iowa. Just because York said "you're easily the worst" doesn't mean he automatically /is/ actually the worst. For all we know, York could've just been joking around due to being the nice guy he is.
Washington is also much smarter and has a more tactical mindset. This might not seem like much but intelligence can be surprisingly important in a fight.
Wash has much superior weaponry. I know that having a better arsenal doesn't always guarantee a character a victory, but in this case it certainly does. Hydra missile launcher that can blow Jaune's shield to pieces, battle rifle can shoot his sword right out of his hands, etc.
Jaune's only advantage here is his superior strength but that won't mean much when they have equal speed and Jaune is outclassed in every other category.
